ADDITIONAL FOOD SELECTION FOR THE MODERN METHOD OF HCG DIET PHASE 2

The modern approach of the HCG diet has additional food that includes food substitutes and additional healthy carb options. The modern approach of the HCG diet allows you to have 700 to 800 calories per day. Make sure to stick to the protocol if you are following the modern approach.

The food selections for the modern Phase 2 of the HCG diet

#1- PROTEINS– Protein reduces hunger hormones during the VLCD. It helps you lose weight and maintain muscle and bone health. Proteins also help to renew your body cell and muscle building. You can have protein from:

  • Eggs, lean meats, and turkey meat
  • Sea bass, sole, and flounder
  • Snapper, tilapia, and oysters
  • Crab, shrimp, and clams
  • Scallops, lobster, and halibut

#2- FRUITS- Fruits are generally low in calories and rich in vitamins and minerals. Fruits are one of the most nutritious foods for weight loss. These are filing and have a natural flavor that deals with your cravings. Fruits can also lower your risk of developing diseases such as diabetes and stroke. You are allowed to have at least 3 fruits per day such as:

  • Apples, peaches, and pears
  • Cantaloupe, nectarine, and lemons
  • Grapefruit, oranges, and tangerine
  • All types of berries such as blueberry and strawberry

#3- VEGETABLES- The green and leafy vegetables are rich in fiber. It promotes the fullness and balance of nutrients in your body. Most of the vegetables allowed during the HCG diet can help you lose weight. These are also low in calories and are filling. Vegetables help deal with your weight-related diseases such as heart disease and hypertension. You can eat unlimited vegetables such as:

  • Spinach, lettuce, and cucumbers
  • Cabbage, tomatoes, and asparagus
  • Onions, celery, and parsnip
  • Broccoli, radishes, and kale
  • Green beans and Brussel sprouts
  • Peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms

  • Coffee and unsweetened almond milk
  • Zero fat cow milk
  • A small amount of vanilla soy milk

#5- SALAD DRESSINGS

Any dressings that have no fat and no sugar

Italian dressings and limited olive oil

#6- CONDIMENTS AND SEASONINGS

  • Stevia, soy and picante
  • Horseradish and pickles
  • Sugar-free salsa
  • Garlic, lemon, and thyme
  • Parsley and apple cider vinegar
  • Garlic salt and pepper

#7- CRACKERS AND BREAD

  • Melba toast and Grissini
  • Zero carb bagels

Take note that the modern approach of the HCG diet is not designed to satisfy your food desire. This is designed to help you lose weight while staying full during the VLCD. Track your food intake every meal and make sure to reach at least 700 to 800 calories per day. Do not forget to weight your food choices before cooking. You are not allowed to have sugar and too much starch. Avoid eating fried or oily foods including fats from the meat choices.
